Brynley turns 46 Weeks!
This has been another fun week with the Brynley Bug! I've noticed that lately Brynley imitates everything that we do. If you wave, she waves back. If you act like you're going to "get" her, she tries doing it right back at you! Hand motions, expressions, everything! She is just the cutest thing.
And just to prove what a difference 3 months make, I saw these pictures on my camera, the one of Brynley at 7 months and then the last piture I'd taken of her just today, at 10 months. I can't get over how much more and how much blonder her hair has gotten. She is also losing some of that baby face and starting to look older like a toddler too!
And as I've mentioned before, Brynley is about the busiest little thing! She absolutely loves drawers and getting the clothes out. Pretty much anything she can reach, and will pull everything out.
Riding on her car
There isn't much this girl doesn't like to eat, but I have to be careful because she seemed to be allergic to blueberries. Poor thing had the worst reaction and all of her BM's were blue! {Sorry for TMI!}
I love this video of her eating edamame!
I've been trying to introduce the sippy cup more and more, but she really doesn't seem to care much about it. I have offered water but just today I gave her a cup with very watered down apple juice in it. She still wasn't a big fan, but we are slowly getting there. I just don't want to completely quit cold turkey and have her trying to adjust to both a sippy cup and cold whole milk from when she was used to having a warm bottle.I just never get tired of seeing Brynley toddle around, getting more and more confident in taking steps. She really doesn't want to be held back, even when it's in competition with her big brother! Here are some more cute videos. I can tell when I've realized I'd gotten slack in taking videos, so I take like one or two a week to try to make up for it, and this was one of those weeks apparantly!
Brynley loves books and will sit there a few minutes now. Much better than her 3 second window before! She has actually been caught chewing on the ends of the furniture, open drawers, and the rocking chair arm! Because of this I know my girl must be teething so I am definitely going to have to get her the amber necklace to help her with those teeth! I'm hoping God must have answered my prayers for my children to have all of their adult teeth, and not to take after me and all of my congenitally missing ones, but MAN these teething issues as babies are sure hard enough!
When we went to the grocery store, I let Ryder and Brynley sit in the shopping cart (I call it a buggy) together. For one, I couldn't stop laughing at the sight of this, and two I wanted to cry because this was a memory I had from the moment I found out I was having another baby. I couldn't wait for Ryder to have a buddy riding in the backseat with him to keep him company and talk to, and I dreamed of the day I would take both my babies grocery shopping once my Stay At Home Mom days began! Yes a small blessing to some, but to me this was a big deal and I just smiled through the store and thanked God for my two sweet babies. Brynley did great steering and Ryder was happy to have her sitting there with him. It sure made shopping easier, but I'm learning that the best time for us to get out is after quiet time and naps, when they are both antsy and we're all just waiting on Daddy to be done with work. We used to try it super early in the morning but I think I'm liking this better!
I love that Brynley is growing and changing so much recently, preparing to enter her toddlerhood as her first birthday gets closer and closer. She has just started showing some interest with the tv and actually watched some of the Care Bears with Ryder and I, which was one of my favorite shows as a little girl. In fact, when one of the characters mocked another "Na Ne Na Ne Boo Boo", she did the same thing and started going "Na Na Na Na Na"
Now with the 4 teeth she has, Brynley must be getting more because she cried the whole time at the library this week (hello Mommy meltdown ha!), and later I felt she had cut a tooth on her upper right side to match the upper left now. A friend of mine recommended getting an Amber necklace for her to wear against the skin to help with teething so I don't always have to give her medicine or teething tabs, and I plan to go to Black Lion this afternoon to check some out. I just don't know that I can get her to keep from trying to pull it off ha!
Happy 46 Weeks to my baby girl!
Love,
Mommy

i can't believe she is already 10 months, oh my goodness! She will be one before you know it, do you have birthday party ideas? She is too precious. I think I started giving Gracie whole milk around that age too
