Hey ya'll I hope that everyone is having a good day so far. I am on a lunch break at work but had to share my relief that maybe we are getting somewhere with our seep woes of getting Ryder to stay in bed. Well let me tell you! We tried something different last night to get Ryder to bed and that was to tell him it was bedtime and let him walk into his room. I still tucked him in and we said prayers, but when he asked for his tv shows I told him no that we were going night night that it was his bedtime. Yes he cried for awhile and threw everything in his room down the stairs, but I closed the bedroom door so I wouldn't hear him and sure enough he finally fell asleep on his own! Once we thought the coast was clear, we went to check on him and give his belongings back that he had tossed over the baby gate down the stairs ha! He was sound asleep. This was a huge step forward for us and I am hoping our sleep success continues.
Along with his improved sleep skills, we got a report from daycare yesterday that Ryder went potty in the toilet ALL day! I was so proud of him! The teachers told us they would ask him if he needed to go potty about every 45 minutes and he would tell them when he had to. She also told us that the boys stand on the stool to go potty and they shake it in. Hearing this cracked me up, picturing Ryder doing pelvic thrusts to go potty. Where did my baby go?? We are so happy at his potty training and progress and I never should have doubted that he could do it! Of course added prayers for sleep didn't hurt either. I can't wait for the weekend to get here and I am so happy tomorrow is Friday!
What does everyone have planned for the weekend so far??
