Random Wednesday

Happy Wednesday ya'll! It's time for another round of randoms to throw around your way.

  • I got my hair did last night and I can't help but belt out to Shania Twain's "ooh, I Feel Like A Woman"! I haven't had my hair done in probably 10 weeks, which is just unacceptable in my book. Being a blonde takes lots of maintenance, and I couldn't believe that I had to keep cancelling my appointments because of being so busy. I was so relieved to finally get it done last night after work and I feel sooo much better today! My roots and split ends had literally grown roots and split ends of their own, but my hairdresser laughed when I told her that, and said my hair really wasn't that bad, just had grown longer since my last visit.

  • Brynley's chandelier came in yesterday and I "LURVE" it! I wasn't so sure about how it would look because I ordered it online and it looked like some of the crystals had a peach tone, which would not bode well in a hot pink and black nursery. Turns out it was just the lighting and I literally almost cried when I saw how cute it will look, because now my little princess' room is complete! (thanks to Mom for buying it since our nursery budget is done with a capital "D"! My stepdad is going to install it this weekend and I can't wait!

  • My work weeks are really going by fast now (thank goodness)! It was good to get the long week over with last week, and I just have a short day today and just one Dentist is scheduled tomorrow so we see less patients so I am hoping to get off early tomorrow. Next week I only work two days and then I will have a nice long week to rest up before my last 2 weeks there, and then I will be officially DONE!

  • I don't know how on Earth I worked all the way to 40 weeks with my son, Ryder. This baby feels like she is going to stretch right out of my belly somedays, and yesterday was especially long because I was so tired and just ready to be done working. And I'm only 34 weeks!

  • Ryder's birthday is in November and will turn 3. How is that possible? Everytime I ask what he wants to do for his birthday, he tells me he wants a Zoo Party. I need to get busy planning, pinning items on Pinterest, and looking on Etsy for some cute things. I want to have it at either Monkey Joes, or Rollie Pollies this year so that the stress of cleaning house with a newborn and entertaining at our house can take a backseat so I can just enjoy celebrating his birthday instead.

  • Is it bad that I am already excited to get back in shape to my pre-baby body? I want to join Weight Watchers by the Fall so that I get somewhat motivated. All of my co-workers have been doing Weight Watchers and friends on Facebook or blogs I read have all been losing weight and I feel like I'm the only person who keeps gaining! Everyone says just enjoy being pregnant and eating what you want, but eating isn't even fun anymore because I get so full and nauseus and major heartburn.

  • I'm gaining weight in my arms, butt, theighs, and hips. Basically everywhere except the bump ha!

  • I still feel like there is a lot to do to prepare before Brynley gets here. I want to re organize the laundry area and to get all of Ryder's toys and clutter straightened out so that it's not just a big mess in our Living Room. I can't decide if I want to move his train table up to his room or not, but it's going to get cramped in here once we bring the pack n play and swing down here too! I also still need a few things like onesies, burp cloths, and I'd like to get one or two more headbands or outfits. I know.. these are just wants, not needs. Girl has a TON of stuff already.

  • I can't wait to start working on her onesie dresses with my mom next week! I will post the tutorial once I make them, in case you other Moms want to make one. We will see how hard they are to make.

  • I got an email this morning, reminding me that plans are underway, preparing for my Highschool's 10 year reunion. Has it really been 10 years?? Romy and Michelle's Highschool Reunion comes to mind and makes me laugh. And makes me feel really old. It's also supposed to fall on the weekend before Brynley's due date, so I don't think I will be attending, even though I really kind of wanted to.

  • We just tucked Ryder in bed and as we all said our nightly prayers, and I kissed him on his forehead, Ryder looked up at Scot and I and said "You are my best friends". My heart literally melted. LOVE that boy! I should also add that just an hour before that, he had gotten mad because I wasn't playing firetruck and cars right, (since I'm a girl and don't play as rough as he and Scot) and he told me not to play, just Daddy could play. I'm not gonna lie, it hurt my feelings a little (and made me realize I shouldn't let a toddler tantrum make me feel sad, but these pregnancy hormones get the best of me sometimes). It was just the sweetest thing he could say, and made me feel much better!

  • There isn't much going on tonight as far as our shows are concerned. Scot's watching preseason stuff, gearing up for the Football season, and I'm all caught up on my Real Housewives. My favorite season of New Jersey has to be this season, and I will be sad when it wraps for the season. We have been watching Jersey Shore and Bachelor Pad, but I'm definitely ready for my Fall tv shows to come back on! I will be very busy with a newborn, so thank goodness for DVR!

  • That's all for today, hope ya'll are having a good week so far!
