Grammy & Grampa Visit!

Over the weekend we had Scot's Mom and Dad come for a visit before taking Ryder with them to Dollywood. Since they don't get to see Ryder often, they really wanted to have some "grandson time", so they arrived on Friday and we all hung out and ate pizza and enjoyed their company. They also bought the iPad for us to do more Face Time on!

They just couldn't get enough of Brynley and how big she'd gotten since they'd last seen her in September! I think she even favors Scot, which he looks a lot like his Mom! Brynley just loved walking and dancing with her Grammy, and Ryder is a guys guy, so he was thrilled to be with his Grampa of course!

Saturday, we headed to Lazy 5 Ranch so that Ryder could see some animals and we could spend a little more time with my inlaws before they departed for Dollywood. It had been a few years since we'd taken Ryder, so I was excited to see his reaction this time. The funny thing is that there is even a ranch containing zebras, giraffes, rhinos, peacocks, llamas, emus, pot bellied pigs, and much much more, near us! Brynley was really fighting her nap about here and was just dead weight.

We opted to drive through ourselves (well my Father in law drove, Scot couldn't handle driving through as the animals chased the car again haha!!). Ryder was one happy little guy, taking it all in!

A few seconds before the other llamas gathered and spit at one another. It was also about then that we rolled up the window to avoid getting any closer to the animals. They can get aggressive at times, although the ranch is safe, we just didn't want to take any chances!
Here is my Father-in-Law attempting to feed the animals, and me trying not to laugh! It can be a bit overwhelming the first time going through the Ranch, because you don't realize how close the animals get to the car, and they want to eat!!
And this baby giraffe galloping cracks me up! Please ignore my country bumpkin accent yet again!

You also have the option to take a wagon ride through, but there was a birthday party going on so we wanted to take our car through instead, to get to the animals first before the crowds.

And just for laughs, here we are 2 years ago, when we took Ryder to the ranch the very first time, and then this past weekend, with both of my babies!
It's hard to believe Ryder was this little! We had such a great time and Ryder had a wonderful time with his Grammy and Grampa, and we hope to make a trip to see them this summer.
