And a Video

Well, I feel much better again today and I continued with the same encouragement through the morning. I wish I could say that Brynley slept really well last night, but after we put her in her crib for the night, she woke up after 45 minutes and just would not settle. Her teething has subsided thankfully, but she just won't settle so we brought her down and laid her in her pack and play.

Here she has this beautiful nursery that has hardly been used! And she is almost FOUR months old! Anyways, she still wouldn't settle much in between her feedings, even after I laid her next to me in bed after so many attempts. When I finally got up for the day around 6:30, BOTH kids were in bed minus Scot or I, and they both seemed more content without us there ha! Scot and I joked that if that's what it takes, we'll give them our bed and we'll sleep upstairs. I plan to try letting her nap in her crib some today and see if she can at least get used to it in there some, and maybe by tonight she will sleep in her own room.

Aside from it all, I have to look for the joy that the both bring me, and not focus on the sleep right now (or lack thereof!) It shall pass and with it a new obstacle will replace it, and I should know this by now. I guess for me in some ways I am like a new mom because I am staying at home this time around, where someone at daycare was the one tending to my child's needs before.

I thought I would post a video of my sweet babes playing together yesterday. And yes I sound like a country bumpkin ha! Seeing these two makes it all worth it :)
