Scot had been with his parents once before, so he said he would dream of going to Tahiti one day and staying in one of the hut type houses on the water (the Bachelor and Bachelorette style ha!). But here I am, just weeks away from my vacation dream coming true. (We have awhile to make Scot's dream vacation come true.)I didn't want to talk too much about it the weeks leading up to the announcement because I didn't want to get disappointed if Scot didn't make Presidents club, but when he got the call that he was #11 out of 20 nationwide with his company, we both literally did a happy dance in excitement!
It's kind of been a whirlwind of a week since we found out it was official that we were leaving in just 4 weeks, and trust me when I say whirlwind! For starters, Scot and I have continued sharing the Jeep since he sold his Mercedees back in the fall last year. We still haven't purchased a new car and on most days rarely see it as an issue to just have one vehicle since he works from home. This past week however, it seemed that he was gone more and so it left a lot of days with me home with the kids and so we took advantage of the weather we've had (most days) by getting out and getting some excercise. A good reason for Ryder to run or pedal some energy out and for this Mama, a good reason to get movin' if I want to get in a bikini in just 4 weeks. It's also been a good week and Ryder and I spent some time making kites for "Fly a Kite Day" and learning to write the letter K. Who knew that was a real holiday??
Brynley has also decided to become quite the night owl over the past few days, but thank goodness for coffee! When will I learn the minute I announce out loud that she's doing great, that is the day that she decides to revert back and not sleep good anymore? I still made it to the gym everyday so far this week, making sure to be home in time before Scot needed to leave each morning. Again, usually this isn't a big deal with sharing one car, but this past week has been quite a challenge.
I took a picture of me in the mirror this morning. I get frustrated because I;m working extra hard to burn calories, watch what I eat, and record every single thing I put in my mouth with my fitness pal app, but no matter what I still look in the mirror and see BLAH! I'm not looking for compliments, I'm just stating what I see when I look in the mirror. Scot looks at me and says I'm becoming obsessed, but I think I've come to the realization that I'm not having anymore children so I want to get in the best shape of my life, and I don't have anything standing in my way, so I guess I've just put some pressure on myself to get it together. Do ya'll have any websites for healthy meals that you make? I've been using skinnytaste.com a lot and I love it, but I'd love to add more recipes to the ones I've started making so far.
I can't believe tomorrow is Friday which means the weekend is here! We were invited to a play date tomorrow, but I'm not sure if we'll go or not. North Carolina was hit with a major case of the Norovirus which is not fun so I have been staying away from as many chances for the bug to get in our house as I can. Just in our MOPS group alone there were at least 4 or 5 families that got the stomach bug. One great thing about staying home with the kids this time, is that we have been so lucky not to have nearly the colds that Ryder used to bring home from daycare. Sometimes he'd never even be sick but was a carrier for some of the stuff he picked up at school. Those 2 years of daycare germs are ones that I don't want to relive with Brynley, so if we can get through these next few weeks before warmer weather gets here, we're doing good!
I need to look more into it, but I know I mentioned before that I'd be willing to be done nursing Brynley by February. Well now we are in mid February almost, and I'm nowhere near ready to give it up. So my question is, what do I do to travel on a plane? Do I bring a pump for the flight to Hawaii? Pump in the hotel room? Or do I chance going sans pump and building my supply back up once I get home? These are all of the silly thoughts going around in my head right now.
Well, nap time appears to be over, so that's all for now! This post seemed to be more random than anything, so if you made it to the end of this then I commend you ha! Happy Thursday!!

I know you aren't looking for compliments but you look amazing! You are definitely bikini ready!
ReplyDeleteI've avoided my play group this week because of everything that is going around here. Max doesn't need to get sick again!
Wow! Hawaii!! How exciting?! And your body is FABULOUS! If you could see me (I have Emelia a month after Brynley was born) you would be literally laughing out loud. I look like a bowl full of jello and it isnt going anywhere any time soon. I would say to take the pump with you just in case. You wouldnt want to lose your supply! Good luck and have fun, hot mama!
DeleteHow fun! Y'all will have a great time, and girl, you look amazing and have nothing to worry about. I think if you didn't pump for that long, it would be almost impossible to get your supply back, but everybody is different so you never know. I would just bring my pump and pump a few times throughout the day if your hotel has a fridge.

ReplyDeleteYou look FABULOUS!! We are all our worst critic so remember that everyone will think you look better than you think you do :) How do you find the time to work out? I need to make time but its hard because I am in a completely new place! I dream of going to Hawaii AND Tahiti. One day when the kids are older.
