Fall Fun at the Patch

On Saturday, we headed out to Patterson Farm for some fun at the pumpkin patch! I couldn't wait to show off Ryder and Brynley's matching pumpkin patch outfits that I had envisioned long before we even met Brynley. From the moment I found out I was pregnant, I knew that I wanted to have cutesy sibling outfits for the pumpkin patch, as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas outfits. It was the perfect day for being out at the patch, and I was so excited to have both Ryder and Brynley for all of the Fall fun this year!
We had some very special guests visiting with us from New Hampshire for the weekend, Scot's aunt and uncle. They had come down to meet Brynley and to see all of us, which is a real treat. I have a special bond with Scot's aunt, and she reminds me of my own mom because she's so sweet. I think it goes without saying, how much she enjoyed holding Brynley while we were at the pumpkin patch.
While we waited for the tractor rides to take us to the pumpkin patch, we let Ryder feed the goats, sheep, and chickens. He didn't care to pet any of the animals, just like his Daddy, and preferred dumping all of his feed to the animals in one big toss!
I think one of Ryder's favorite things to do while we were at the farm, was to race the rubber duckies! He and Scot's uncle had a great time racing one another and I was so proud at how well Ryder did to pump the water all by himself once he was shown what to do. What a difference from last year to this year, because Ryder wasn't even tall enough to reach the ducks!

Next we checked out the corn pit, which started out good, but then Ryder got the idea to throw the corn!
LOVE this picture of my two babies!
Ryder was a big fan of the toy tractors and posed long enough to get his picture.
I felt bad because it was busier this year than I remembered last year, and I went over to get some pictures of Brynley and the next thing I knew, everyone was loading back up on the tractor to head back so I missed most of the "pumpkin pickin', but Scot made sure to get some cute pictures of Ryder.
Ryder made sure he picked out all four of our pumpkins, and he did a great job! He asked over and over once we got home with them when he would be able to cut them with his shark knife. (a plastic play knife we use to cut play doh haha!) He was very concerned on the ride home as to where his pumpkins were, and we reassured him they were safe and sound in the trunk ha!
Our family of FOUR at the pumpkin patch. Quite a bit different from years past, but this is our life now. No one was paying attention and we were facing the sun, but I will still always look back on Brynley's first trip to the patch to get a pumpkin, and the excitement on Ryder's face when choosing his pumpkins.
 More pics with Aunt Sandi!

While everyone took bathroom breaks, I found a set of rocking chairs setup in the shade, complete with a
Halloween colored checkers set. I fed Brynley while Ryder played checkers, and we couldn't have asked for a better day! Perfect weather, sunny and breezy. Afterwards we started getting hungry so we decided to get lunch at a new mexican place in town.
Of course I had to get one picture of the baby girl and I before we left! We had a few meltdowns once we got to the restaurant. In need of naps, and maybe a bit overtired, we left realizing that maybe we weren't quite ready to venture out to restaurants as a family of four just yet. It was SUCH a great weekend and we had so much fun at the pumpkin patch! I can't wait for the fun to come as we get to carve our pumpkins and dressup for Halloween.

Happy Sunday Ya'll!
